Season Outlook: The Lady Bombers are coming off their 2nd best record in school history with 20 wins, but no titles. Having graduated 6 quality SRs – 3 of whom were 4 year varsity starters who set many school records, puts the Lady Bombers in a rebuilding mode. However, there are several returning players with varsity experience including 3 with multiple year experience. In addition , there are several talented young players with youthful enthusiasm that have joined the squad this year. The development of these young players, helped by the veteran
players on the team, will play a big part in the success of the season for the Bombers.

Notre Dame Green Pond Crusaders(15-9)

Head Coach: Grant Lilly

Key Losses:

  • Megan Shields- C
  • Danica Gross- 1B
  • Skyler Howlett- 3B
  • Julia Szczepanski- 2B

Key Returning Players:

  • Hannah Lilly
  • Senior, 5’4, SS, .326 batting average with 29 hits.
  • Hannah is a great defensive shortstop, with great leadership. She has a consistent
bat and is anticipating reaching her 100 hit milestone this season. She has a great
softball IQ and will be a threat on the bases.
  • Addison Ryan
  • Senior, 5’10, 1B, 18 hits, 4 HR, 16 RBIs
  • Last year Addison spent most of her time in the outfield, but this year we are
expecting her to be our starting first baseman. She has a strong bat and will be a
great leader for our younger girls.
  • Rachel Fisher
  • Sophomore, 5’6, P, .286 BA, 4 HR
  • Rachel is expected to continue her role as our starting pitcher. Last year she
reached the milestone of 100 strikeouts and guided us in league and district
playoffs. We expect her to continue to work hard on the mound.
  • Natalie Lilly
  • Sophomore, 5’6, CF,
  • Natalie’s freshman season got cut short due to an injury, but we are expecting her
to return with her strong bat and speed in the outfield and on the bases. Last
season, in only eight total games played she had 16 hits with a .471 BA.
  • Sydney Ryan
  • Sophomore, 5’10, C, .338 batting average, 22 hits, 5 HRs, 19 RBIs.
  • In Sydney’s freshman season she mainly served as our designated hitter, having a
batting average of .338 and hitting 5 home runs. This year she is expected to
continue her impressive performance at the plate and become an integral part of
    our defense, as catcher.
  • Claire Cerual
  • Senior, 5’3, 3B
  • Last year Claire missed half of the season because she was the lead in our
school’s spring musical, but this year we are expecting to have her as our starting
third baseman. Claire is a great leader and brings a lot of energy to the team.

Key Newcomers: Riley Palank(2B), Gabby Apgar(Util)

Season Outlook: Our biggest strength will be the power in our lineup. I expect everyone in our lineup to be
aggressive at the plate and on the bases. Our defense and chemistry on the field is looking even better than it did last year. Our sophomore pitcher, Rachel Fisher, will be going into this season with confidence and knowledge of what she is capable of. Our pitcher and catcher dynamic is very strong, the two girls are good friends and work well together.

Northern Lehigh Bulldogs(13-10)

Head Coach: Daniel Caruso

Key Losses: Our key losses from last year were Kaitlyn Stick and Emma Smith.  These graduating seniors showed great leadership, experience, and skill, which can be challenging to fill. Especially with a younger team. However, we have some great players that will fill the gap in leadership this year.

Key Returning Players: We have 11 returning players and a new group of senior leaders. Our team will be lead by Marisa Maehrer, Peyton Hoffman, Grace Bauer, and Skyelar Horack. Marisa will be continuing her softball career at Rosemont College. I am looking to my seniors to set the tone for the team both on and off the field. Their leadership will be crucial in guiding younger players this season. We have a strong junior class as well. I am expecting Kylee Snyder to have a great season similar to the numbers that she put up as a freshman.

Key Newcomers: What is very exciting about this season is that we have a new sophomore class of softball players which will bring a fresh burst of energy and talent to the team, these young ladies offer the potential for growth and success. We have 4 new sophomores and 3 returning sophomores that we are very excited about. But first, I should mention Addie Smith, sophomore pitcher, she will be leading the pitching staff this season. Addie came on strong late last season and shut down some great teams. Early indications are that she will be even stronger this season and log a lot of innings for NL this season.  In fact all four pitchers are sophomores, which will give us some future stability. The new comers are Annalisa Douglass, Savannah Kast, Fiona Jones, and Kenzie Chruscial, all these players can play multiple positions which will provide a deep bench for us. We also have, I would argue one of the best catchers in district XI, Emily Gad, sophomore, she also stepped up late last season and did a great job. Last but not least is Tegan Simms, Star basket ball player for NL, looks to be ever better this year, again counting on her to make big contributions.

Season Outlook:  Reflecting on my first season at Northern Lehigh, the season came with both challenges and rewarding moments. Adjusting to a new team dynamic meant understanding the unique strengths, weaknesses, and personalities of my players. The experience gained in my first season has shaped me to be a more versatile and prepared coach. I look forward to leading this team this season. As for the season. This season holds
incredible promise, thanks to the depth and diversity of talent on our softball roster. With a strong group of seniors providing leadership and experience, the team has a solid foundation to tackle tough competition. The
addition of the new sophomore class brings energy and fresh perspectives, and they are eager to contribute which will be a significant asset. If everyone continues to work hard, support one another, and stay focused, this
team has the potential to achieve great success this season.
