The Muhls 10-3 came to the Cage too face the Canaries 9-1 last night and controlled the game from the start putting up 24pts to Allen’s 6pts. Muhlenberg got baskets from 6 different players and were paced by Justin LJ Armstrong with 6pts and Eli Hemmings 7pts. Allen only managed 2 baskets by Tiheed Wise Jr and Obed Lockhart.
The 2nd qtr went a little better for the Canaries out scoring the Muhls 11-8,but Muhlenberg made them earn every point contesting every pass and shot, the score at halftime was 32-17.
Being down 15pts Allen needed points and they needed them fast. But the Muhls defensive preasure continued and the Canaries only put up 7pts, all by Naz Chapman. Muhlenberg on the other hand had their best qtr scoring 27pts with LJ Armstrong 12pts and Eli Hemmings 9pts leading the way too a 59-24 lead after 3 qtrs.
The subs took over in the 4th qtr to get some playing time and the final score was 68-34.
Not the Canaries night but Coach Flowers and the Muhls had everything to do with it. Although Armstrong and Hemmings got the majority of the points, 9 different players scored and everyone contributed to an all out effort on defense.
