Northampton holds on for the Win over Central Catholic 53-46

Northampton held off a 4th qtr comeback by the Vikings who outscored the Kids 15-8 in the 4th qtr and didn’t allow Northampton to score till 2:50 left in the game when Leo Regec hit 2 free throws and broke the ice for the Kids and they go on to win 53-46. Cam Hines led the 4th qtr charge by the Vikings with 8pts that fell short.

The 1st qtr was about what you expected balanced scoring and tough defense 12-10 Kids But in the 2nd qtr Central went cold and only scored 5pts and Northampton turned up the heat with 3-2pt and 3-3pt for 15pts and a 27-15 lead at the half.

In the 3rd qtr Northampton continued to put points on the board 18, 7 from Noah Walakovits and 6 from Brady Simock. But now Central was finding their range adding 16pts, 9 from Yariel Gonzalez and Northampton extended the lead to 14. 45-31
