Pen Argyl and Wilson came into this game with opposite records, the Green Nights 4-10 under 1st yr coach Tyler King and the Warriors 10-4 coached by Mike Glovas Sr. Both teams coming off losses to NDGP,
The game started with Pen Argyl scoring the 1st 7 points before the Warriors scored a point and a total of 11pts. But Wilson came back and scored 10pts including a couple of 3s from Cole Shotko and Jason Hall. Green Knights led 11-10.
The 2nd qtr was a different story with Wilson putting up 19pts to Pen Argyls 9pts. Andrew Powell put up 9pts ( 3-2s 1-3 ) Zyad Darwish came off the bench for 8pts ( 1-2 2-3s ) for the Warriors and Kaen Kaiser had 4pts ( 2-2s ) and the 1st half ended with Andrew Powell hitting a 3 and Wilson led 29-20 at the half
The Green Knights came out in the 3rd qtr wanting to cut into the Warriors lead and they did that outscoring Wilson 11-9, 6pts coming from Kaen Kaiser and the lead was down to 7pts. 38-31 Warriors.
Wilson took control of the game in the 4th qtr and outscored Pen Argyl 29-11. Lafayette Acree came off the bench and hit his 1st shot for 3 and the Warriors Zion Velasquez-Spence added 4pts leading scorer Andrew Powell added 6 to his game high 19pts Zyad Darwish 5pts for 13pts total, Cole Shotko finished with 12pts. Soos drained a 3 for a total of 12pts on the night and Kaen Kaiser added 2 more to lead the Green Knights in scoring with 17pts.
Pen Argyl hung with a good Wilson team for 3 qtrs and can build off of that when they face long time rival Bangor Monday. The Warriors travel to Salisbury Twp to face the Falcons 14-2 who just lost to NDGP 56-50 and hope to keep this momentum going.
