This was a play-in game to see who would face No.1 seed Easton on Friday night in the EPC tournament. The game was at Pete Schneider Gym in Northampton, and for both teams their tournament playoff aspirations were on full display.

Dieruff was able to keep pace with Liberty in the 1st half getting strong performances from Aniya Holder 8pts and Justyce McCristian 9pts and only trailed by 2pts at the break. Liberty got a strong 1st qtr from Ava Kopetskie 7pts plus a 3pt shot in the 2nd qtr for 10pts in the half, Chloe Rummelhart added 6pts and key rebounds in 2nd qtr. Liberty led 25-23 at the break.

The 3rd qtr was probably the difference maker in this game when the Lady Canes outscored Dieruff 20-10. Aniya Holder had a 7pts, but Dieruff needed more than that. Addie Smith let loose with 3-3pt shots and a 2 for 11pts her total for the game and Ava Kopetskie added another 3 for 6pts in the qtr. Liberty now led by 12pts 45-33.

The Lady Huskies knew what was on the line and played like it getting 8 more pts from Aniya Holder ( 25pts for the game), and 15pts from Jayla Rosario ( 19pts on the night) Justyce McCristian added 2 to her total of 11pts for the game. And Dieruff did outscore Liberty 28-23 in the 4th qtr, a great effort, but with the lead what it was and Liberty hitting 4-3pt shots 2 by Emma Miller 3 on the night for 9pts Dieruff was forced to foul Liberty and that sent Ava Kopetskie to the line 6 times where she went 9-12 giving her 28pts for the game and icing the win for Liberty and move on to play Easton at Easton Friday in the 1st round. Dieruff will gear up for the district playoffs to come.
