Catasauqua(0-18)
Head Coach: Erika Proctor(1st year)
Key Losses:
Catasauqua lost two key senior starters that held down the right side of our infield. MJ and Katrina were a key part with a lot of varsity experience between the two that we will have to replace with our incoming freshmen.
Key Returners:
Our key returners are Makayla Bird as our lone pitcher who took on the role knowing we are lacking quality pitching. Briana Deschaine is the other part of our battery behind the plate. They are the most experienced with varsity time on the team and our key leaders in driving their teammates to prepare them for varsity play. Another key returner is Junior Ava Wetzel, holding down the hot corner at third base. She brings in the second most experience and brings the energy with her play. And lastly, Sophomore Madi Beierle, will come in from the outfield and take her place at first base, replacing Katrina, who graduated last year. She will be the key asset holding down the right side of the field and at the plate on offense.
Key Newcomers:
A key newcomer is Ciannah Gonzalez, a freshman, who will split time in the middle infield positions. She has the knowledge to lead the middle infield and teach the other players where to go for each play.
Season Outlook:
We are in another rebuilding year. After last season, the players realized what they need to do to step up and do what they need to do to succeed. We will have enough players again to field a team so the players will be put to the test again this season, knowing we do not have many backups. We have a great upcoming class the next two years and are preparing our underclassmen on varsity now on what they need to work on to secure their spot in the lineup. The current varsity players need to put in the dedication and time and if they do, we will have a successful season overall.

Jim Thorpe(3-16)
Head Coach: Kathy Levins
KEY PLAYERS RETURNING
Hannah Zacharias, Senior, C/1B/OF – Hannah was a force last season boasting the teams high BA and OBP. She will continue to bring that force with her this season at the plate, will bring speed to the OF, and efficiency at first base. Our only Senior this season, she will play with heart and lead by example on the field.
Madison Schwartz, Junior, P/OF/UT – Maddie returns and will be the key part of our pitching staff. We will look to her to step in to take a leadership role on the team this season. She is a versatile player and can get the job done in both IF and OF. She brings a hard-working mindset to the team, a no quit attitude and high softball IQ.
Isabella Sully, Junior, C/IF – Bella returns and will bring her big bat along with her. An integral part of our catching staff, ing consistency to the plate. She brings great work ethic to the field, leads by example, and gives it her all in every area of the game.
Kelsie Huff, Junior, P/OF – Kelsie will return and see more playing time in the circle as our only lefty. She brings a lighthearted and fun energy to the team.
Ryah Confer, Sophomore, C/OF – Ryan will return after a successful Freshman season as a key part of our catching staff. She will provide speed and range in the OF. She will be a force at the plate and can hit a long ball or play small ball. She brings versatility to the field and has a cannon behind the plate.
Julianna Frantz, Sophomore, IF – Jules returns after a successful Freshman season as a key middle infielder. She brings consistency to the plate. She brings dedication and willingness to learn, which is why she will be a key factor in our lineup this season.
Gloria Strohl, Sophomore, 1B/P – Gloria will return after a successful Freshman season as our starting 1B and will also see time in the circle this season. Gloria will be a key factor in our batting lineup. She brings a good work ethic, and a big bat to the lineup. We can’t wait to see her add to her HR record this season.

Lehighton(5-14)
Head Coach: Ed Ziegenfus(1st year)
Key Returners: Morgan Myers, Peyton Hausman, Brynn Mriss, Ava Trach, Amber Yeakel, Amber Wise
Season Outlook: The attitude to work hard and willingness to learn has been excellent. We are instilling a new mentality, learning to compete in everything we do. We are focusing on aggressive, but fundamental, softball. We wan to make being in league and district playoffs an expectation.

Northern Lehigh(11-11)
Head Coach: Dan Caruso
Key Losses: Marissa Mahrer, Peyton Hoffman, Grace Bauer, and Skeylar Horack
Key Returners: Kylee Snyder, Addie Smith, Tegan Simms, Emily Gad, Aubrey Reinhard, Fiona Jones, Kenzie Chrusical, Anna Douglass, Audri Wertman, and Savannah Kast.
Key Newcomers: Jaycie Longenbach,
Season Outlook: Overall – With a strong returning core and key leadership across the diamond, this year’s squad is poised to compete at a high level. The foundation of this team will be built on dominant pitching, steady catching, experienced juniors, and reliable defense. Kylee Snyder, the teams senior captain will be instrumental in leading these ladies this year. Kylee is the anchor in the CF and one of the best hitters on the team. I expect big things from her this season. Also, Aubrey Reinghard will anchor third base, she works hard and I can’t wait to see with she does with this position this season. This year’s junior class will be the heartbeat of the roster. With multiple seasons of varsity experience, this group understands the expectations and brings both skill and maturity to the field. They lead by example through work ethic, preparation, and competitive drive. The juniors provide strength up the middle, stability in key defensive positions, and production throughout the lineup. That said, I cannot say enough about Tegan Simms, one of the best pure athletes that I have ever seen. She hits in the four hole and is invaluable at short stop. I would watch Fiona Jones this season, she works very hard in practice, and her hitting has come along way. Also, watch out for Anna Douglass, outfield to make a big contribution to this team this season. In addition to pitching, Addie Smith has been working hard developing her skills at first base which gives the team much more flexibility than in prior years. However, pitching will set the tone for the season; with Addie Smith and Tegan Simms, we have arguably the best one – two combinations of pitchers in the district and colonial league. Each one can take over a game and shut the other team down. To that end, we will have depth and flexibility and be able to provide different looks against opposing lineups. Catching will be another major strength. Behind the plate, the team features Emily Gad who understands the game and can manage it well, and I would argue the best catcher in the district.

OUTLOOK
The Lady Bombers came off a complete rebuilding year last season which saw
them qualify for League and District playoffs, which was a great accomplishment
for the team. The Lady Bombers are still in somewhat of a rebuilding mode this
season with many young players on the varsity roster. However, the Lady Bombers
will be led this season by 4 talented seniors who all have multiple years of varsity
experience. They will be joined by a solid group of underclassmen that all
experienced varsity time last season. In addition, the incoming group of freshman
players should have an impact on the team with their talent and enthusiasm for
the game. Team leadership from the Sr’s, plus improvement and maturity from
the underclassmen, should hopefully see the Lady Bombers make a run at post
season softball this year.

Salisbury(8-12)

Season Outlook: We had a young team last year and again this season. After graduating our two seniors from last year we have no seniors on the team this season. We expect to build on what we started last season with the majority of our starting lineup back from last year. Being a year older and a little bit hungrier for success, we hope to compete day in and day out.

Head Coach: Mariah Callahan
Key Returners: Emma Dalpe, Anna Schmitt, Elizabeth Horinko, Maci Kovacs, Carli Snyder, Brianna Williams, Gabby Williams, Alina Stofanak

This year’s group brings a mix of returning experience and players who are eager to step into larger roles. With a solid foundation of talent and a commitment to hard work, the team is focused on competing at a high level throughout the season. Leadership from the upperclassmen will play an important role in guiding the team, while younger players will have opportunities to gain valuable varsity experience.
