Season Outlook:
We return a good amount of experience from last year’s 12-1 team that won the Colonial-Schuylkill League White Division Championship and reached the District XI Class 3A Championship Game. At the same time, we graduated an outstanding senior class that played a major role in our success, both on the field and from a leadership standpoint. One of our biggest challenges will be developing the next group of leaders and having players step into larger roles.
Offensively, we return a lot of experience and production at the skill positions, along with several players who have experience up front. We need to continue developing our offensive line and establish consistency at quarterback. Taking care of the football, being able to run the ball effectively, and executing when it matters most will be important for us.
Defensively, we return a solid core from a group that allowed just 143 points last season. We want to continue to play fast, physical and disciplined football. Communication, controlling the line of scrimmage, preventing explosive plays, getting off the field on third down and creating turnovers will continue to be priorities.
We also return experience in both the kicking and return games, and special teams will continue to be an important part of what we do.
Our expectations for the program are always high, but what we accomplished last year doesn’t carry over into this season. We have a challenging schedule and plenty of work ahead of us. Our focus is on getting better each day, playing TEAM FIRST football and giving ourselves an opportunity to be playing our best football when it matters most.
